That is exactly what this beetroot carrot Halwa made in a pressure cooker is all about.

You can have this ready to go in couple of minutes with a delicious Halwa in your bowl in front of you in less than 30 minutes.

INGREDIENTS

For 3 person

2 grated medium beetroot
1 grated carrot
1 can condensed milk
3 tbsp ghee ( clarified butter)
1 tsp cardamom powder
Chopped pistachios and almonds and a handful of raisins for garnish


DIRECTION

1) In a pressure cooker add the grated beetroot and carrot, condensed milk and 1 tbsp ghee. Give a good mix, cover and let it cook. Allow 3 – 4 whistle. Remove from heat and keep it aside until it releases its pressure.

2) Once the pressure releases put it back over medium to high heat. Add the remaining ghee, half of the nuts and raisins . Keep stirring to avoid sticking to the bottom of the cooker for around 3- 5 minutes or until you have reached your desired consistency. I prefer my halwa slightly dry. Now, Add the cardamom powder and give a good mix.
Finally garnish with some more slivered almonds and pistachios.

Delectable halwa ready in less than 30 mins.
