15 minutes 5 Ingredients Healthy Stir Fried Chicken

If you’re asking if it’s possible to make a healthier version of your favorite stir fry takeout at home that actually tastes great and doesn’t take a ton of time? The answer is one hundred and ten percent YES! Just 5 ingredients and 3 steps and 15 minutes is all you need.

Like all households weeknight dinner is often a rush and I so many times I get lost on what to make.
This is a wonderful recipe that I had made in a batch, saved half and used in my sandwich and for quick tacos as well. An excellent option too if you are doing meal preps.

To prep the chicken, cut the boneless skinless chicken thighs or breast into small pieces and add them to a mixing bowl. Add your ingredients, mix it properly and cook it on low heat for 12 mins covered and another few minutes on medium to high heat.
Your delicious chicken is ready to be accompanied with anything you wish in no time. You can use to make wraps and sandwiches. Great for tacos, or throw some over your fried rice or pasta. For more healthier options throw some over your salad. One dish with unlimited options on how you have it.

450 gm chicken breast cut into small cubes
1 tsp garlic powder
Salt and 1 tsp pepper for seasoning
1-2 tbsp sour cream/ greek yogurt/ hung curd
1 tbsp olive oil
Some fresh herbs for garnish ( chopped spring onions and cilantro or parsley)

1) In a large bowl mix all the ingredients and keep it aside for 10 minutes.
2) Heat oil on a non stick pan over medium to high heat.
3) Add the marinated chicken and fry for 2 minute over high heat. Reduce the heat, cover and let it cook on low heat for about 12 minutes. Once the chicken is cooked remove the lid and stir for 2-3 minutes or until the water dries out, but remember not to completely dry out the sauce by overcooking. Since I have used chicken breast, one should be really careful about not to overcook or cook for longer time because that could result in giving your chicken a rubbery or chewy texture.

** NOTE : Cooking time of chicken in this recipe will depend upon how thick or thinly the chicken is cut. If the chicken breast is thinly cut like strips, it will take lesser time to cook.
